Bio
Da’Naya Mayes, M.S., based in Portland, OR is a passionate advocate for health equity and addressing the various social determinants of health that affect many marginalized and underserved minority populations. With a B.S. in Health and Human Sciences and an M.S. in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Loyola Marymount University, Da’Naya has a wealth of expertise in clinical healthcare, population health management, workflow optimization, and project development, management, and implementation.
Da’Naya has served as a Project Management Assistant at Kaiser Permanente in West Los Angeles, where she optimized clinical and operational workflows, created patient health materials and resources, and piloted projects related to white coat syndrome and vaccination disparities in targeted minority communities. She has also spent the last 2 years as a Program Navigator/Resource Specialist at the Providence Cancer Institute, managing a lung cancer screening program and collaborating with community partner organizations, providing a multitude of assistance options for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
